How long do these illustrations take?
Physical drawing time may vary depending on how complex your order is. Usually you’ll receive your digital files within 1-2 weeks from ordering, this will depending on the turn around at the time. If you require it earlier, please email me. An urgent fee will apply
Do you print and ship the illustrations?
Only on request, for New Zealand customers only. We’re operating as an online studio offering a high quality PDF and JPG. The PDF can be used to print in your own home and the JPEG is best for sharing online. Physical prints will be available permanently in the near future.
Do your illustrations include all facial features?
Yes! I have three options available: Basic = Eyebrows only, Medium = Eyebrows and mouth, Full = Eyebrows, mouth & line details of nose. I also include glasses/sunglasses if they’re in the image. This will be discussed via after your purchase.
Can I get a sketch to see what it will look like?
Absolutely, once you’ve paid for your illustration. It is apart of the process! I have before and after photos on my Instagram and Facebook if you’d like more guidance on how to pic your image to recreate.
Can I merge two photos or do I need everyone in one image?
Yes you can merge two images, no problems at all. We will discuss the position of everyone via email before I draw up a sketch.
Can I make up the image I want or does it have to be an exact photo?
I generally work off an exact image that you want recreated. If however you wish to have some things changed I’m happy to work around your ideas! I can also combine multiple photos if you don’t have an image of all the people together.
What kind of photos work best for illustrations?
High quality images that have been taken in natural light, preferably by someone else.
I do accept images taken on a phone but the amount of detail might be limited due to the quality of the image. A few tips for phone camera images: Set up in the best lit place at home, put the timer on and make sure it’s in focus! Also, make sure you’re capturing as much of yourselves you’d like illustrated.
What if I change my mind on the illustration after you’ve drawn it?
I try my best to have an open and safe space during the creation process for you to express any concerns or ask for any adjustments. I offer multiple proofs along the way to make sure the design, colours and details are to your liking. You’re investing in me to recreate a memory, I take that investment seriously and hope you will too. I don’t offer change of mind on a final illustration.
Can I use your illustrations for business purposes?
